Likexo is a new way to share and discuss your likes and discover new ones with people you know (or maybe don’t know). In the other hand, Likexo is a community where you can meet people who share your interests.
We have found that the recommendations from people who share our same likes are usually much better than reviews from the web or from friends who don't have the same likes as we do. Also, we have found that we have a lot to communicate with the people with our same likes.
Founded in 2009, Likexo is based on a simple idea: what we like defines us. We believe that our education, our curriculum and others things we do in our life not really express what we are. We are what we like.
We have a strong vision: become the global reference on recommendation systems and knowledge bases based on products and likes of people, constructed from applied artificial intelligence. Based on these ideas, we built Likexo, where:

With Likexo you can show who you are saying what are your likes. This helps the search of other people with similar interests, and get related with them, know about their likes and build a social network.
In this new world full of information, now is posible to rediscover likes
Saying what are your likes and sharing them with others you can also received a feedback from other people likes, and in this way rediscover new likes or maybe rediscover your likes.
It's posible to show others who we are, but in a different way
Probably you have built others profiles with your personal info, right? Ok, that's the basic way to say who you are, but what really defines you? Not really. If you go deeper into how you are, your likes gives to you an identity, you buy things, go to differents places, take decisions based on your likes, so it's not so crazy to say: what we like defines us. Likexo gives to you that opportunity to say everyone really who you are.
We exist to give people all these things, and more; with this information we build consistent recommendations to provide you, and without realizing it to be even closer to our vision ;-)
There are two basic things in Likexo: people and items.
Items are created and modified by Likexo users. All items in Likexo have info about them. What kind of items? Well... for now only books, music bands, albums, movies and personalities; soon everything!! People are the users of our social network; they check the items that represent their likes and update them with the correct info.
So like a Likexo user, you can find items that you like and check them to appear on your profile. You can also search people with interests similar to you, and see what his/her likes are.
In the middle of all this things, you will have boxes with the recommendations we assumed that could be interests of you.
